Biography

Born in Cremona in 1988, Beatrice Magnani started to study the piano at the age of six with the Russian pianist Ludmilla Krylova. She attended the International Pianistic Academy “Incontri col Maestro” of Imola under the guidance of Professors Franco Scala and Boris Petrushansky and the Master of Arts in Music Performance at the “Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana” of Lugano, with Professor Anna Kravtchenko.
 

Winner of 20 first prizes in national and international competition, between them Piano Campus International Piano Competition of Pontoise (France), the Marguerite Maister Prize in Zurich and the Bryden Thomson Prize in Glasgow.

Beatrice plays regularly both as soloist and chamber musician in festival and concert seasons across Europe, America and Asia.

Since the age of 11 she played in recitals in many occasions in important halls and auditoriums such as: “National Center of Performing Arts” in Beijing; “Wigmore Hall” in London; “Tchaikovsky Hall” in Moscow; Philharmonie in Vilnius; “Feng- Youang Music Hall” (Taiwan); “Royal College of Music” in London; Small Hall of S. Petersburg Philharmonie; Philharmonie in Yekaterinburg; Philharmonie in Samara; Philharmonie in Nizhnij Novgorod; Auditorium “Stelio Molo” of Radio Svizzera Italiana in Lugano,“Arnold Schoenberg Center” in Wien, “Sala Verdi” in Milan, “Sala 500” of Lingotto in Turin, “Auditorium Fondazione Cariplo”, “Teatro Manzoni” in Milan; “Cappella Paolina” of “Palazzo del Quirinale” and “Teatro Ghione” in Rome; “Teatro Ponchielli” in Cremona; “Ca’ Rezzonico” in Venice; “Auditorium San Micheletto” in Lucca; “Sala Greppi” in Bergamo; “Teatro Olimpico” in Vicenza ecc.

She played with international renown soloists and conductors such as Sergej Krylov, Ronaldo Rolim, Da Sol Kim, Federico Ferri, Fabio Mastrangelo, Nicola Guerini, Arturo Tamayo, Ekaterina Valiulina, Mischa Kozlowski, Ulrike Hofmann, Maura Marinucci, Giacomo Cardelli.

Since 2016 she is part of Lincoln Center Stage project as chamber musician, promoted by Lincoln Center of New York in collaboration with RWS Entertainment Company.

Some of her concerts have been broadcasted by Radio3 and Arnold Schoenberg webradio.

She played as soloist with Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, Ensemble Respighi, Ural Youth Symphony Orchestra, Nizhnij Novgorod Philharmonic, “Neue Philharmonie Westfalen”, Cernivci Symphony, Moravian Philarmonic and Mozart Chamber Orchestra of Padua.
